The answer

The sun rising from the west is one of the major signs of the Hour. If it rises and all people believe, their faith will not benefit a soul if it had not believed before or had not earned good through its faith. As for the Almighty's saying, "And indeed, We are expanding," Al-Tabari interpreted it to mean that Allah possesses vastness in creating whatever He wills and has power over it. Some contemporary exegetes believe that the verse refers to the continuous expansion of the universe, and the miraculous aspect therein lies in the word (lamūsiʿūn - expanding), which denotes continuous expansion.
