Does thinking about worldly matters during prayer invalidate it?

Whoever enters into prayer should bring their heart and mind into it, as Allah Almighty says: (Most certainly prospered the believers who are humble in their prayers) and His saying: (And stand before Allah in devotion). Indeed, a person only receives from their prayer what they comprehend of it. So, if their mind becomes preoccupied with worldly matters, their reward will be diminished accordingly. If the heedlessness is less than the presence of mind, then repetition of the prayer is not obligatory, even if the reward is decreased. However, if heedlessness predominates, there are two opinions: The first is that the prayer is inwardly invalid. The second, which is the correct one, is that the obligation is discharged, and repetition is not obligatory, even if there is no reward or recompense in it.
