When I pray, I get preoccupied with worldly concerns, so what should I do?

If you are preoccupied with worldly concerns during prayer, recall the greatness of Allah and remember that "Allah is greater" than everything. Seek refuge in Allah and ponder over what you are reciting. To achieve humility (khushu'), avoid major sins, sit with the righteous, increase your remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Quran, and seek refuge in Allah to rid you of the love of this world. Reflect upon the transient nature of this world and the value of the Hereafter.
