Can the story of Bilal's journey to Medina and his adhan after a long interruption be clarified, and where did he die?

The report about Bilal's return to Medina and his calling the Adhan there after the death of the Prophet, peace be upon him, is not authentic. It was narrated with a weak and denounced chain of transmission containing unknown narrators and断 (discontinuity). Rather, Bilal passed away in Sham during the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.
