What is the meaning of the Hadith: "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation is under the protection of Allah," and how can a person be under the protection of Allah, and is a man's prayer with his wife in congregation at home considered among the congregations intended in the Hadith?

The meaning of "Whoever prays Fajr is under the protection of Allah" is that they are in Allah's guarantee and security.

There are two interpretations of this Hadith (definition):

The first: It is a prohibition against harming the Muslim who has prayed Fajr, because they are in Allah's security and guarantee, and whoever harms them has violated Allah's covenant.

The second: It is a warning against abandoning or being negligent about the Fajr prayer, because abandoning it is a violation of the covenant between the servant and their Lord.

Some scholars have held that the virtue of entering Allah's protection is confirmed for those who pray Fajr in congregation. This is indicated by the chapter headings of An-Nawawi, Al-Mundhiri, and Muslim, and by At-Tabarani's narration from Abu Bakra: "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation is under the protection of Allah."

It has also been said: The virtue is attained by whoever prays Fajr within its prescribed time, even if they do not catch the congregation, due to the lack of this restriction in Muslim's narration and others. This is also apparent from the chapter headings of Ibn Majah and Ibn Hibban.

The Virtue of Fajr Prayer in Congregation:

It is mentioned in At-Tabari's Tafsir (definition), from Zayd ibn Aslam, that those who seek forgiveness in the pre-dawn hours are those who witness Fajr prayer in congregation.

From Abu Ad-Darda and Ad-Dahhak, concerning the interpretation of Allah's saying: ﴿Their sides forsake their beds﴾: This refers to praying 'Isha and Fajr in congregation.

Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, it is as if they have prayed the entire night.

"And if they knew what is in the 'Isha and Fajr prayers, they would come to them even if crawling."

From 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him: "To witness the Fajr prayer in congregation is more beloved to me than to pray the whole night."
