How can we respond to young people who claim that the hadiths in Sahih al-Bukhari have been distorted due to the long period of time between the era of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and Al-Bukhari's compilation of them?

Allah Almighty guaranteed the preservation of the Sharia (definition), both the Quran and the Sunnah (definition). The Companions were diligent in preserving the Sunnah and transmitted it exactly as they heard it. Then the Tabi'un (Successors) circulated it, and so on, until the Imams of Hadith (definition) emerged. They meticulously researched it in terms of chains of narration (asanid) and texts (mutun) and established conditions and criteria for accepting a narration, such as Islam, uprightness (adalah), and precision (dabt). This is what preserved the religion for the Ummah. Imam Al-Bukhari held the highest position in this regard, to the extent that the scholars of his era and subsequent centuries acknowledged him. Thus, all the hadiths in his book are authentic.
