What is the religious ruling on a father who is disobedient to his parents, abuses his wife and children verbally and physically, and commits heinous sins, and what is the religious ruling on a daughter who feels anger towards this father?

A husband must fear Allah in his treatment of his wife and live with her honorably. If she is obedient to him and he harms her, he commits a great sin, and Allah is capable of taking retribution from him on her behalf. If she is disobedient (nashiz), he must admonish her, abandon her in bed, and strike her without causing injury. If they obey, then he has no cause against them. In the event of disagreement, Islam calls for either retaining her honorably or releasing her kindly.

As for his angering his mother, it is an act of disobedience to parents, which is one of the gravest sins. He must beware of his mother's supplication against him, for a parent's supplication against their child is answered.

As for the daughter, she is permitted to harbor inner anger regarding her father's actions, but any word or deed that offends him is forbidden to her. She must treat him with kindness and dutifulness, for that may lead to the improvement of his condition.
