Which is more deserving of marriage: a chaste Christian woman or an unchaste Muslim woman?

If an unchaste Muslim woman who has committed adultery does not repent, it is not permissible to marry her, unlike a chaste woman of the People of the Book, so there is no comparison between the two. However, if the Muslim woman repents and returns to chastity, it is permissible to marry her, and she is preferable to a woman of the People of the Book, whose marriage is disliked by many scholars, and it is disliked to prefer her over a Muslim woman.
