Ahl al-Sunnah hope for the righteous and fear for the evildoer, and they do not rule on anyone entering Paradise or Hell except what the revelation has testified to. It is permissible for a Muslim to speak about the righteous deeds of the deceased, accompanying their praise with the statement: "We consider him so, and Allah is his reckoner."
