What is the wisdom behind visiting the sick in a dream?

Visiting the sick is a divinely commanded act and a right of a Muslim upon his brother, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us to do seven things... and to visit the sick," and "The rights of a Muslim upon a Muslim are six... and if he falls ill, visit him." The wisdom behind visiting includes: comforting the sick person and standing by him, strengthening community bonds, and reminding both the visitor and the visited of Allah's blessings. However, there is no need to visit when the patient is asleep, as it involves disturbance, which contradicts the very purpose of the visit.
