Is it permissible to wear new clothes if the Eid coincides with a Christian holiday, such as New Year's Day?

On Friday, it is legislated for the Muslim to adorn himself, cleanse himself, and wear the best of clothes, and the best of them is new white clothing, even if it coincides with a holiday of the polytheists; because deeds are by intentions. It is also recommended to apply perfume and perform ghusl (definition) (full ritual bath). There are hadiths that mention this, among them: "Whoever performs ghusl on Friday, wears the best of his clothes, applies perfume if he has any, then comes to Jumu'ah, does not step over the necks of the people, then prays what is prescribed for him, then listens when his Imam comes out until he finishes his prayer, it will be an atonement for what is between it and his previous Jumu'ah," and the hadith (definition): "What would it harm any of you if he were to buy two garments for his Friday, apart from his work clothes?" All of this is a recommended act agreed upon by the imams, because Jumu'ah is one of the greatest rituals of Islam, so it is recommended that the one who performs it be in the best condition.
