What is the ruling on women wearing clothes that imitate men's?

It is not permissible for a woman to imitate a man in dress or otherwise, due to the saying of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed men who imitate women and women who imitate men." And due to the saying of Abu Hurairah: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed the man who wears women's clothes and the woman who wears men's clothes." This indicates that the aforementioned imitation is one of the major sins.
