What is the virtue of charity in this world and the Hereafter, and does it increase wealth and bless it?

Charity is one of the deeds that benefit a Muslim in this world and the Hereafter. Among its worldly benefits are that it increases wealth and makes it grow, and it repels affliction from the giver of charity, as stated in the Hadith (definition): "Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths." As for the Hereafter, its reward is multiplied many times over, and whoever gives charity secretly will be among those whom Allah shades on the Day of Resurrection.
