Why do we not definitively condemn to Hellfire those who die in disbelief among Muslims, despite the abundance of texts confirming that whoever dies in disbelief shall enter Hellfire, such as Allah's saying: "Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - never will there be accepted from one of them even a mouthful of gold if he offered it in ransom. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers"?

One who dies in disbelief after having the truth established upon them is definitively condemned to eternal Hellfire, as stated in the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah (definition), which affirm that disbelievers will abide eternally in Hell and that only a Muslim soul shall enter Paradise. However, making such a definitive judgment for a specific individual is only permissible for those about whom divine revelation has explicitly stated that they are among the people of Hell, such as Abu Lahab, Pharaoh, and Abu Jahl. It is not permissible to definitively assert the fate of a specific disbeliever by name unless there is a confirmed religious text concerning them, because we do not know what state they died upon in their final moments.
