How do spouses stand during congregational prayer, and does the method of standing differ if the husband prays with his wife, and his male and female children?

If a man leads his wife in prayer as an Imam, the Sunnah (definition) is for her to stand behind him. If he prays with his sons and daughters, the male children should form a row behind him, and the females (including his wife) should form a row behind everyone else. It should be noted that congregational prayer in the mosque is obligatory for an able-bodied man who hears the call to prayer.
