Is it obligatory to dedicate all prayer time to invoking blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), to the exclusion of supplicating for oneself, in order to benefit from the virtue of the aforementioned hadith?

The hadiths indicate that the meaning of "How much of my supplication should I dedicate to you?" refers to the amount of supplication (du'a) that is directed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, instead of supplicating for oneself. If all the supplication is dedicated to sending blessings upon the Prophet, Allah will suffice the supplicant regarding their worries and forgive their sins. Legally (according to Islamic law), it is permissible to allocate a portion of the supplication time for sending blessings upon the Prophet, but one should not completely abandon supplicating for oneself, as there are legitimate supplications that ought not to be forsaken.
