What is the ruling on looking at the uncovered face of a woman in animated cartoons, even if she is wearing a khimar and hijab?

Looking at a woman's face in reality is a matter of scholarly disagreement, with the preponderant opinion being that it is forbidden except out of necessity. As for looking at her image, especially if it is an animated drawing, it does not reach the level of prohibition unless it is with lust, or if there is a fear of lust being aroused. Ibn 'Uthaymeen mentioned that looking at the image of a specific woman with pleasure and lust is forbidden. If it is a fleeting glance and does not stir anything, then there is consideration regarding its prohibition, but it is better to avoid it. As for the image of a non-specific woman, there is no harm in looking at it if no شرعي (Shar'i) prohibition is feared.
