Should we fast with the people of the country, regardless of whether they have confirmed seeing the crescent moon or not, or should we fast with Saudi Arabia?

If the sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon is confirmed in your country by the testimony of a single trustworthy person, then fasting becomes obligatory for you, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Fast when you see it (the new moon) and break your fast when you see it." However, if the crescent moon is not sighted in your country but is sighted in another country, there are two opinions among scholars: The first is that you are obligated to fast, which is the view of the majority of jurists. The second is that you are not obligated to fast unless it is sighted in your country or in countries that share the same moonrise (matali'), and this is the preferred view among Shafi'is and some Hanafis. They cite as evidence the hadith of Kuraib, in which Ibn Abbas did not act upon the sighting of the people of Sham. This second opinion is the more preferred one.
