Our intention was to state the number of times Allah's istiwaa' (ascending/being above) over the Throne is affirmed in the Quran, and not necessarily that it came with this exact wording. Indeed, in Al-Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah, Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "And His saying: (The Most Merciful ascended over the Throne) in seven places." Sheikh Al-Fawzan, in his commentary, said: "Meaning, the affirmation of Allah's istiwaa' over His Throne has been mentioned in seven verses of the Book of Allah, all of which affirm istiwaa' with one wording, which is: {he ascended over the Throne}."
