Is it permissible for a Muslim to ask God to grant him in Paradise a woman who in this worldly life is the wife of someone else, or one of the female Companions?

Allah commanded supplication and the Prophet, peace be upon him, encouraged it. Therefore, a Muslim should make abundant supplications for all that he desires, as long as it does not involve sin, severing ties of kinship, or aggression. Among acts of aggression is supplicating for a sin, or for something impossible according to Sharia or nature, such as a man supplicating that Allah grant him a woman who was married in this world and was not among his wives, because in Paradise she will choose between her husbands or belong to her last husband. As for a man supplicating that Allah grant him marriage to a female Companion or another woman in the Hereafter, there is no objection to it if she was not married in this world.
