As for abandoning it out of laziness, some scholars consider it an act of disbelief that expels one from the fold, while its lowest degree is considered wickedness. The wife should advise her husband by explaining the danger of his abandoning prayer and utilize all available means to achieve this. If the husband insists on abandoning prayer out of laziness, the wife has the right to seek divorce from him, and it is commendable for her to do so if the husband neglects the rights of Allah the Almighty.
