Is money earned from working in a bank's loan department halal or haram, knowing that the nature of the job is to review loan applicants' files?

It is not permissible to work in interest-based banks (riba-based banks) because it involves cooperation in usury (riba), which Allah has forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who gives it, the one who records it, and its two witnesses, stating that they are all equal in sin. One should search for another permissible job or an Islamic bank if needed.
