Is it permissible to read the Quran from the Mushaf during prayer in order to complete a monthly recitation?

It is permissible to read from the Mus'haf (physical copy of the Quran) in supererogatory (nafila) prayers without restriction. However, regarding obligatory (fard) prayers, its permissibility is a point of dispute among scholars, and it is better to avoid it to steer clear of disagreement. A Muslim should strive to read the Quran and dedicate a specific time for it outside of prayer.
