Is bird droppings considered najasah (ritually impure)?

The droppings of birds whose meat is edible, such as sparrows and chickens, are pure. Evidence for their purity includes: the principle that all things are pure unless proven otherwise, the Prophet's instruction to drink camel urine, and performing prayer in sheepfolds. However, the droppings of birds whose meat is not edible are impure.

Therefore, it is not obligatory to wash the droppings of pure birds if they get on clothing or the body, and there is no harm in praying with them. However, it is advisable to designate a specific place for them to avoid inconvenience to the household members.
