What should someone do who has passed the miqat for the people of Egypt without ihram, intending to perform Umrah, especially considering that regulations prohibit entry into Makkah in ihram attire? Should he make the intention and talbiyah for Umrah from the miqat without wearing ihram clothes, then enter ihram from Makkah, and what would be required of him in this case? Or, if he lands at Ta'if Airport, should he enter ihram from the miqat of the people of Ta'if and make the intention for Umrah?

If you travel for 'Umrah from Egypt, you must enter into theрам state (Ihrām) as soon as you pass the Miqat designated for the people of Egypt (Al-Juhfah). Deliberately delaying the Ihrām beyond this point necessitates a sacrifice (dam). If you enter into Ihrām from the Miqat and then wear sewn clothing for a purpose, you owe a fidyah (expiation) with the choice of either fasting for three days, or feeding six poor persons, or sacrificing a sheep. One should be keen to perform 'Umrah legally, and in any case, the 'Umrah is valid.
