How should one deal with ablution for Friday prayer in a state of urinary incontinence and continuous or intermittent flatulence due to irritable bowel syndrome? Must one wait until the time for Friday prayer begins to perform ablution? And which is better: praying on time with the impurity, or waiting for the impurity to cease before praying?

A person afflicted with سلس (incontinence) has two situations: 1. Incontinence stops at a known time: He must wait for this time, then cleanse himself, perform ablution (wudu'), and pray. It is not permissible for him to pray before the cessation of the incontinence. 2. Incontinence does not stop: He should protect himself from impurity and perform ablution for every prayer after its time has begun. What exits after ablution does not harm him. It is not permissible for him to perform ablution before the time of prayer begins, except for Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer, a little before, in order to listen to the sermon.

It is permissible for a person afflicted with incontinence to combine Dhuhr and Asr prayers, and Maghrib and Isha prayers, to alleviate hardship.
