Were the sins committed by the questioner due to her husband's sins or by divine decree? Was her confession to her husband correct or incorrect? Is she an oppressor or oppressed? Is her husband entitled to deprive her of her children if she remarries?
You have done well by initiating repentance. Be sure to avoid sins again, and increase good deeds and attendance at religious study circles. Do not dwell on the past, for whoever repents, Allah accepts their repentance. What occurred in terms of sins was by Allah's decree. Your husband's sins might have contributed to it, but you are responsible for your own actions. Your confession to your husband was indeed a mistake, as one should conceal their own faults. You are both a wrongdoer and wronged: a wrongdoer to yourself and your husband by committing the indecency, and wronged if your husband wronged you by beating you or his prolonged absence. The custody of children is a right for the mother as long as she does not remarry; then it transfers to the next most deserving person. It is not permissible to prevent the mother from visiting them.
