Is it permissible to transfer the bodies of deceased parents from the current grave (ossuary) to another legitimate grave that has a niche (lahd)?

Burial in tombs is reprehensible (makrooh) because it deviates from the Sunnah in several ways, including burying more than one deceased person in a single grave without necessity, the mixing of men and women, and plastering the grave and building upon it. The fundamental principle regarding a Muslim's grave is that it is not permissible to exhume it except for a legitimate religious excuse, such as necessity or an overriding benefit, because the sanctity of the deceased is like that of the living. Transporting the deceased from their graves is permissible provided that their bodies are not desecrated during transport, that the transport is to a religiously permissible grave, and that it does not lead to discord among relatives.
