When is Hajj obligatory for women? Is there a specific age for it? Is it permissible to take money from one's father for Hajj, or must one wait until one has sufficient funds? Is it permissible to delegate someone to perform Hajj on one's behalf?

Hajj is obligatory upon every Muslim, male or female, who is adult and financially and physically capable. There is no specific age requirement. For a woman, an additional condition for capability is the presence of a mahram; if she does not find a mahram, then Hajj is not obligatory upon her. It is not obligatory for a son to ask his father for money to perform Hajj, but there is no harm in accepting money from him if the father offers it; in fact, it is a good deed. Hajj by proxy is not permissible except for someone who is physically incapacitated due to old age or an incurable illness. However, for someone who is physically capable but poor, or for a woman who is physically and financially capable but has no mahram, Hajj by proxy is not permissible for them.
