What is the ruling on subscribing to the websites of advertising and marketing companies that pay money for opening messages or placing an advertising banner on the screen?

If the means and tapes include propaganda for something unlawful, then subscribing to them is forbidden because it is a form of cooperation in sin. However, if they do not contain anything unlawful, then subscribing to them is permissible. If a person does not know their status, then it is better to stay away from them. This applies if the subscription is free; but if it involves money, then it becomes gambling, ignorance (jahalah), and gharar (excessive uncertainty), which is forbidden.
