What is the ruling on earning money from an advertising website that profits the subscriber through browsing advertisements, and whose profit increases when other people subscribe through him?

If there are no subscription fees for the website, and the content is free from শরী'আ-prohibited elements, then there is no harm in taking a commission for browsing or bringing in subscribers. However, if the subscriber pays fees for browsing and earning, or if the advertisements are prohibited, then this is impermissible (haram).
