The answer

The abomination of sodomy is one of the gravest sins, and Allah destroyed the people of Lot because of it. It is stated in the noble Prophetic : "Whoever you find doing the act of the people of Lot, kill the one who does it and the one to whom it is done."

The prescribed punishment for sodomy in Islamic is execution. The Companions unanimously agreed on his execution but differed on the method, such as throwing him from a high place or stoning him. Lesbianism is forbidden and is one of the grave sins, but it does not have a prescribed punishment; however, it entails discretionary punishment (ta'zir).

The repentance of a sodomite is accepted if it is sincere, if he abandons the sin, regrets it, and intends never to return to it, based on the words of Allah Almighty: ﴿Except for those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds; for them Allah will change their evil deeds into good ones. And Allah is ever Forgiving, most Merciful.﴾
