What is the ruling on buying players in games with real money that converts to virtual money, which increases and decreases according to winning and losing?

If the game is permissible, and the add-ons are additional benefits within it, then it is permissible to buy and sell these add-ons, provided they are known and do not involve a Sharia-prohibited element like gambling.
