The answer

The method of healing with the Quran is by reciting Quranic verses over the affected area, or into one's hands and then wiping the hands over the affected area, or over the entire body if the ailment is widespread. This is evidenced by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who would blow into his hands and recite the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), then wipe his face and whatever he could reach of his body with them. Similarly, it is narrated from Uthman ibn Abi Al-Aas Al-Thaqafi to place one's hand on the site of pain and say: "Bismillah (In the name of Allah)" three times, and "A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir (I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I find and what I fear)" seven times.
