Is it permissible to sever a relationship with a female student due to a minor disagreement and her failure to apologize, given the desire to restore the relationship and preserve one's dignity, and does this affect the raising of deeds on Mondays and Thursdays?

It is advisable to forgive and overlook the transgressions of those who do wrong, following the example of the Holy Quran, which encourages this, such as in the Almighty's saying: "And let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you?" and "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah." This emphasizes that a teacher should be merciful towards their students and bear with their ill manners, as they should show compassion for the student and tolerate their harshness. As for limiting interaction to merely returning greetings and answering questions without further affability, there is no harm in this, for ostracization is negated simply by exchanging greetings and returning them, according to most scholars. Finally, one must be moderate in loving people, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Love your beloved moderately; perhaps one day he will be your enemy. And hate your enemy moderately; perhaps one day he will be your beloved."
