The answer

The prayer of the oppressed that is answered is their prayer against their oppressor. This is due to the brokenness, humility, and state of distress they experience, which makes them closer to having their prayers answered, as Allah the Almighty said: "Is not He who responds to the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes evil?" (Quran 27:62). Their prayer for themselves may also be answered if it is accompanied by this brokenness, due to the effect of the heart's state on the answering of prayers.
