Is it permissible to keep a financial check and entrust someone to perform the Hajj on my behalf in the event of my death? Does Umrah in Ramadan equate to Hajj, even if performed after the Isha prayer? And does Umrah forgive all sins if performed for oneself or for one's parents?

Hajj must be performed if one has the ability, and it is not permissible to delay it. Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent in reward to Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but it does not suffice for it. It is a condition for one who wishes to perform Umrah on behalf of a deceased or incapacitated person that they first perform Umrah for themselves, and then perform Umrah on behalf of another. It is not permissible to combine two people in one Umrah. Umrah expiates sins and wards off poverty.
