Is it permissible for a man to marry a woman whose marital life he ruined, after their repentance and regret, and does the opinion of the Malikis apply to them, which prohibits marriage to a woman whose marital life one ruined, with her intention to divorce before they met?

First: The marriage remains valid until an actual divorce occurs from the husband, and it is not invalidated by the long period of separation.

Second: Adultery is a major sin, and its punishment intensifies if the woman is married. The adulterers are obligated to offer sincere repentance.

Third: It is not permissible for the adulterer to marry the adulteress except after their sincere repentance and the completion of her iddah (waiting period). This is the view held by the majority of scholars.

Fourth: It is not permissible to incite a woman against her husband (corrupting the marital relationship), as this is a major sin. For one who incites a woman against her husband and then marries her after her divorce, their marriage is invalid according to some scholars. Based on this, if the man incited the woman against her husband and then committed adultery with her, their marriage is not valid. However, if he did not incite her, and they both repented from adultery, then their marriage is valid after her divorce from her first husband.
