Is expiation for an oath (feeding ten needy persons, or clothing them, or fasting three days) obligatory for one who only possesses enough for his expenses?

If the money you possess does not exceed what is sufficient for your needs, then you may resort to expiation by fasting, according to the words of Allah the Almighty: "But whoever finds none, then a fast of three days." (Al-Ma'idah: 89)
