What is the ruling on watching videos that mock angels or prophets for enjoyment? And what about the dream of fighting and death that was interpreted as disbelief (kufr), and how can this interpretation be invalidated and one return to prayer?
It is not permissible to watch TV series that promote atheism or mock angels. Whoever disbelieves in their heart what these series contain of violations of creed does not commit an act of disbelief (kufr) by watching them, but he commits a sin. As for visions (ru'ya), it has been narrated in the Hadith that a vision falls according to its interpretation, and that it is on the wing of a bird until it is interpreted, and once it is interpreted, it falls. However, this applies to true visions and correct interpretations, not to confusing dreams (adghath al-ahlam) or corrupt interpretations. A correct interpretation is one that hits the mark of the vision, and it is not for the first interpreter unless he is knowledgeable or accurate. Furthermore, abandoning prayer is one of the great evils, and one must repent to Allah and adhere to it.
