The use of hashish is prohibited because it is an intoxicant that corrupts the mind, and every intoxicant is forbidden, whether a little or a lot. Everything that harms the mind or the body is forbidden. The mind is a great blessing that must be preserved, and hashish corrupts it and has severe harms to religion and the body. One must quit it and seek help from Allah, then from specialists. Smoking hashish does not necessitate ghusl (ritual bath), nor is it required to purify oneself from its smoke because it is solid, and the impure intoxicant is the liquid one.
