Is it permissible to enter into the state of ihram for Umrah from Jeddah if the visitor intends to visit relatives and perform Umrah, and will stay in Jeddah for more than 10 days, but the time for Umrah has not yet been determined?

If you are a resident of Al-Ahsa and you travel to Jeddah to visit your family, and then you intend to perform 'Umrah after that, you should enter into the state of ihram from Jeddah. Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen stated that if one's primary intention is to visit his family in Jeddah, he may go to them without ihram, and then he should enter into ihram for 'Umrah from Jeddah when he wishes to do so.
