Does Allah accept the repentance of one who openly commits fornication, and does the lack of feeling remorse affect the validity of repentance?

Publicly committing a sin is another sin that necessitates repentance. Remorse is a condition for the validity of repentance and its greatest pillar. The meaning of being obligated to feel remorse is being obligated to pursue its causes, because the pleasure of sins is like a sweet drink containing deadly poison, and it incurs Allah's wrath and punishment. Among the causes of remorse are: remembering that the pleasure of the unlawful is fleeting, while its bitterness and sin remain, and that there is no good in a pleasure followed by Hellfire. The soundness of the heart and the firmness of the heart's actions, such as love, fear, and hope, are what drive the sinner to remorse. So, whoever truly loves Allah, or hopes for His mercy, or fears His punishment, will suffer because of his sin.
