Is it permissible for a man to enjoy non-mahram women through embracing and kissing, without committing fornication, under the pretext of fearing to fall into zina?
A man is not permitted to enjoy a girl who is unlawful for him under the pretext of fearing falling into zina (fornication/adultery); because by doing so, he falls into a type of zina. The zina of the eyes is gazing, the zina of the ears is listening, the zina of the tongue is speaking, the zina of the hand is touching, and the heart desires and wishes, and the private parts either confirm or deny that. The claim that this prevents falling into the major indecency is false, for few are safe from falling into major zina among those who engage in its مقدمات (preliminaries). Whoever truly fears falling into zina must avoid everything that arouses his desires, and the greatest of these is being alone with a woman who is unlawful for him and looking at her. The fear of falling into zina is a common denominator among all people, and no one can guarantee themselves against tribulation; the one who is protected is he whom Allah protects.
