The answer

Among the rights of the wife over her husband is maintenance according to what is customary, which is the sufficient amount for food, housing, clothing, and medical treatment, based on the circumstances of both spouses. It is not permissible for a woman to go out to work or for any other purpose except with her husband's permission. Both spouses must live together amicably. It is not permissible for the husband to curse his wife or insult her without just cause, or to send her to her family's house without justification. The wife is permitted to request a divorce due to harm, such as being cursed or insulted without just cause. She is also permitted to annul the marriage if the husband is unable to provide the obligatory maintenance, or to seek khul' from her husband if she dislikes him or if the marital relationship deteriorates. It is advisable to resort to reconciliation first, and if reconciliation is not possible, then separation is permissible.
