Is it permissible to fast one or two of the White Days, or must they be fasted consecutively, especially if one of these days falls on a Friday or a day that is disliked to be fasted individually?

If Saturday coincides with a compulsory fast, or a make-up fast, or the fasting of legislated days such as the White Days, Arafah, Ashura, the six days of Shawwal, and the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, or if it coincides with a habitual fast, such as someone who fasts one day and breaks fast the next, then there is no harm in fasting it, as long as one does not intend to single it out for fasting, believing there is a special merit in it. However, singling it out for a voluntary, solitary fast is the subject of prohibition, if the hadith is authentic.
