What is the ruling on buying a house or palace that has statues outside the house (e.g., by the fountain or bridge) and keeping them as they are, without demolishing or disfiguring them?

There is no harm in buying a house that has statues, whether inside or outside. However, statues of animate beings, whether human or animal, must be effaced. The intended part of the statue is the head. If the head is cut off or its features are effaced, its prohibition is removed, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "Do not leave any statue but you efface it," and Gabriel's (PBUH) saying: "Order the head of the statue at the door to be cut off and made to resemble a tree." The presence of statues inside the house prevents angels from entering. As for outside the house, it does not prevent their entry, but they must be changed.
