Is it permissible for a man who claims the ability to heal with the Qur’an to undo demonic possession and take payment for it?

The possession of humans by jinn is established, and it is expelled by ruqyah (definition) according to Islamic law. Reciting the verses of ruqyah from the Qur’an is permissible. However, opening the Qur’an for sorcery and charlatanism, such as foretelling the future or diagnosing illnesses from specific verses, is the work of charlatans. A healer using the Qur’an does not need to open the mushaf (definition) if he has memorized it; otherwise, he should only open it for recitation. It is permissible for a healer to take a fee for performing ruqyah according to Islamic law.
