The question

Does a divorce issued by the husband in a state of extreme anger and without full awareness take effect, knowing that the husband avoids the idea of divorce during anger, and had previously considered it due to the wife's "provocative behavior and constant disobedience"?

The answer

If you uttered a divorce to your wife while you were aware and not overcome by your intellect, then the divorce has occurred, even if you were extremely angry. If this divorce does not complete the three (divorces), then you may take your wife back before her waiting period (iddah) ends. The wife must obey her husband in what is right, and the husband must treat her kindly and have a good opinion of her. The husband must also honor his mother and not raise his voice at her. He must repent to Allah for what he did towards his mother and apologize to her. Anger is the key to evil, and one must beware of it.
