It is not permissible for a husband to force his wife to remove it in obedience to his parents, because there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator; obedience is only in what is right. A husband’s adherence to his wife who insists on wearing her niqab is not disobedience to his parents. If removing the niqab becomes the only solution to the problem, then there is no blame upon the wife for following the opinion of those who permit uncovering the face when there is no fear of temptation, provided she remains committed to covering everything but her face in front of non- men. She also has the right for her husband to provide her with an independent dwelling.
